My wife and I stayed here in early February and had an excellent stay. We were blessed with outstanding snowfall during our stay and so the whole vibe of the hotel and other guests was very upbeat. The facilties are great and the onsen bath is outstanding. The rooms and beds are comfortable and like many Japanese ski resorts you have to create your own entertainment of an evening. The breakfast and dinner are both buffet style and we enjoyed all our meals. We stayed 6 nights and the variety of meals was starting to wear a little thin, but generally the food was of high quality. The staff were excellent and there was always someone on hand who spoke English , because our Japanes language skills are very bad. This is a genuine ski in ski out location with a ski locker room which has direct access to the slopes. A very well run hotel with good facilities.

We highly recommend the executive king size room which was double the size of normal rooms as we had a lounge room and bed room and it felt luxurious looking out the large glass windows to the view of the mountains We spent extra time chilling out in the room just because we enjoyed the room the view so much We also had both breakfast and French dinner included - the dinners were superb each night and we were there for three nights We hired a car and it was a good place to explore all the forests Hirosaki tourist places - I really enjoyed the apple farm in Hirosaki as much as I enjoyed the forests in the beautiful mountain side The onsen was beautiful looking out to the trees and mountains We visited in summer and it was warm but not hot May come back to see the snow, or the cherry festival in spring or the leaves changing in autumn

This is the place to stay for ski in ski out Aomori Springs Ski Resort. It is not the cheapest but it is good value if you want ski in ski out accommodation that is spacious and comfortable. The ski locker amenities are excellent and there is excellent baggage storage for early check in late check out. They will keep all your ski bags throughout your stay so no clogging up your room space. The property is not the newest but the refurbishments are good. Onsen is excellent (definitely check the outdoor pool. Great views towards the sea of Japan!

I was attracted to the location on the Aomori Springs Ski area and the side of Mt. Iwaki. It did not disappoint! The view of the mountain and the Sea of Japan were amazing. The open-air section of the Onsen was wonderful as it had a view of the sea and the stars at night. The breakfast and dinner (included in my room plan) had both Western and Japanese options, and both were delicious. During the summer, the bar on the 2nd floor is closed, but there was a mini-bar in the Bistro during dinner to get wine, beer, or sake.

2nd time staying here for skiing as it is one of the more affordable ski in and out places. Big rooms (and great view from our room of the ski field), comfortable bed and big vanity area which was useful since we had to wash baby stuff. Good food and great onsen. We had our 2mth old and got there at 9am however couldn’t check in till 3pm so they gave the theatre room for my MIL to use privately rather than the foyer. I was also able to put my esky for baby stuff in their fridge since check in wasn’t till 3pm.
